Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Many of you are family and old friends, others of you are new friends, and many of you are simply “surfing the net.” We hope and pray that you feel welcome here. I think one of the greatest joys in carrying the cross has been meeting some of the most wonderful people in the world. It has truly been a glorious privilege to serve and follow Jesus. That privilege has simply grown as we’ve had the opportunity to see and hear Him through friends like you.

As we have traveled around the world, we have had the privilege of meeting people from many different ethnic, religious, and economic backgrounds. Worldwide, it seems the question people most commonly ask us is why we carry the cross. It’s simply a question of curiosity. People everywhere are asking even deeper questions, “Who am I? Why am I here? What is truth? What happens after I die?”

Everyone is on a search for significance, fulfillment, and purpose. This search transcends race, age, economic status, sex, and educational background. All of us desire peace, contentment, and love. We want something bigger than ourselves. The Bible describes it by saying, “He (God) has set eternity in their hearts…” We were created with an appetite for God. Each of us has a yearning to be reunited with our Creator and have fellowship with Him forever. Many have given up. For them, the pilgrimage has been empty and discouraging. Some have found times of contentment and peace, but that has soon given way to confusion and emptiness. Still others have had a true glimpse of glory. We don’t have any idea where you might be in your life today. We don’t know the questions of your heart. We hope and pray, though, that God would use your time here to help find some answers.

Around the world, we’ve found the one thing that everyone does agree on is that there are problems. No one, though, has been able to come up with a solution that’s acceptable to all. The problem is not social, political, or economic. Instead, all of the inequality, abuse, and hate can be traced back to a spiritual disease that infected the human race generations ago. This disease causes us to think and behave selfishly. It is passed on to all people. The disease is called sin. All of us have regularly chosen to disobey God and go our own willful ways. As the old saying goes, “no one is perfect.” This, however, has resulted in our separation from God. It has created an even greater emptiness of heart and purpose. Not only does sin cause us to mistreat one another, but it also creates a separation between God and us. Ultimately, it causes death.

God never intended for us to be separated from Him. He created us in His own image so that we could know Him personally and experience His abundant life. Since we were created in His image, He gave us a will and the freedom to choose. We were never intended to be robots that would automatically love and obey Him. Love that is forced isn’t love. God has given us the choice to love Him and follow Him or to go our own way. Through the ages, many have used their choices in different ways to bridge the gap between man and God, but without success. People have tried to fill the void in their lives with relationships, possessions, activities, and religion, but still it always seems that something is missing. Searching is good, but it’s worthless unless we look in the right place. Sincerity is important, but through the ages, many have been sincerely wrong.

The good news is that there is hope! Jesus Christ came as the answer to our problem. God loves us so much that even though we were separated from Him because of our sins, He became a man and came to us. The religions of the world attempt to reach God. God wants us to know that He has already come to this earth. Nearly 2,000 years ago, God came in the form of a man. He was called Jesus Christ. He lived His life helping people and even doing miracles. Most importantly, He lived a perfect, sinless life. Jesus was innocent, but because He loves us so much, He chose to die for us. We deserved to die for our sins, but He died in our place and rose again three days later. He’s alive today, and we can know Him personally, have our sins forgiven, and have the promise of eternal life through a relationship with Him. All He asks is that we turn from our sins and follow Him.

At the cross, the worst of man met the best of God and peace was made through the blood of Jesus. We have good news; God loves you! God wants to forgive you and give you a new life! It is at the cross where there can be hope, love, peace, and justice. This is the place where all people can gather together and injustices can be laid aside. Hurt, bitterness, and hatred can be cleansed at the cross, and we can have a new beginning. Not only was the cross a place of death, but it became a place of hope through the resurrection of Jesus. Wherever you are and whatever you’ve done, you can know this hope as you receive His wonderful gift of forgiveness and new life. You can give your life to Jesus right now.

If you want to commit your life to follow Jesus, you can pray now and experience new life, love, and mercy. You can know Him as your Savior and Lord as well as the best Friend you’ve ever had. Just talk to Him in your own words, or you might pray a prayer like this…

“Dear God, I know that I need You. I know that I have sinned and am separated from You. I’m sorry for my sins. As best as I know how, I turn from all my sins and I give You control of my life. I want to know You. I believe Jesus died for me, rose from the grave, is in heaven, and hears me now. Please give me a new heart and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, show me Your way. I truly want to follow You and make my home in heaven. I am not ashamed of Jesus. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

Please let us know if you prayed this prayer by clicking here. We would love to know of your commitment so that we can pray for you and celebrate with you!

The greatest desire of our heart is that you’ve come to know how wonderful Jesus is. We hope and pray that your time at this website was a blessing and that you’ve come to know God in a greater way or have committed your life to follow Him. If you’ve given your life to follow Christ, you are now our brother or sister in God’s family. If we can help you as you seek to follow Jesus, or if you would like to have the words of Jesus in the New Testament or a Bible, you can contact us at our address – it’s free! We’re not a organization that you can join; you’ve joined God! He’s enough! Our prayer is that we will all care for and help each other, living together in the love, kindness, peace, and the beauty of Jesus.

God Bless You!!
