Burden of God

Oh, the burden of the Lord --
a world of young and old and in-between;
a world of famous, and known, and those never seen.
This is the burden of Jesus on Calvary;
the burden of my Master in Gethsemane.
Jesus knows the pains, He sees the tears;
He feels our hurt and understands our fears.
"Jesus, Your burden for the world I need.
Let it grip me, compel me, this I plead.
The burden of a world that is from You...apart
Let me know Your burden as I draw near to your heart."
