prayer for Hannah
Home > Updates > prayer for HannahIf you think about us, it would be a great blessing if you could take some time and pray for us. Eleven years ago, yesterday, my daughter, Hannah,
received a kidney transplant. Thankfully, God has blessed her with wonderful health since the transplant. Recently, however, during a routine check up, we were told that her body has started rejecting the kidney in two ways (she only has the one kidney that she received in the transplant). We are in need of God’s great mercy and a real miracle!
7 June – Thank you, thank you for your prayers for Hannah – I can’t tell you how much it means! Please don’t stop!! Yesterday was the 11th anniversary of her transplant! We’re so thankful for 11 years of good health! Her numbers still remain above where she was when she had her transplant, but we’ve seen a little improvement. We’ve still got a long way to go; and though we’ve had some setbacks, most of the times we go to the doctor her numbers are better.
Our most recent battle has been with her liver. Her numbers have been significantly elevated. Also, she has been put on the kidney transplant list. The doctors are telling us that her kidney is good. Her body just doesn’t think so. Soooo …. we’re still praying that her body and kidney decide to speak the same language. Thanks again for taking this journey with us! You’ll never know what a blessing you are!
16 April – Thanks SO much for praying for my sweet daughter, Hannah! We received a better report yesterday. With God’s help, she is SLOWLY getting better. I’m grateful for ANY sign of progress!! Her numbers continue to improve:)!! She still has a LONG way to go (she’s not even close to where she was when she had to have her transplant 11 years ago). We still need a miracle! Jesus said we can do nothing apart from Him. I know that so, so well! But I also know that we are truly dependent on your prayers in this time. Thank you so much!
7 April – The Apostle Paul prayed that He might know Jesus … and the POWER of His resurrection … Please continue to pray with me that Jesus will touch my sweet daughter with the power of His resurrection and bring new life to her kidney and body. Thanks SO much!! Have a wonderful & blessed celebration of the day of His resurrection!
Thursday, 5 April – Thanks so much for praying! With God’s help & through your prayers we had our first doctor/hospital/test/treatment – free day in almost 5 weeks! ALSO, we don’t have to go back till Monday! As a result, I get to carry the cross tomorrow here in Tulsa! What a special reminder of what our precious Savior & Healer did nearly 2,000 years ago! It’s also a very special day for me – it was on Good Friday 27 years ago that I began carrying the cross!!
April –Thanks, thanks, thanks to so many of you for praying for us! Please don’t stop! I can’t tell you how much it means! With God’s help, we’re still getting to sleep at home each night, but we spend most days at the hospital for testing & treatments. This week has been 2 days of blood transfusions and 1 day of IViG treatments. Long days, short nights, LOTS of the grace & mercy of God! It is still quite a journey – We’ve got our eyes on Jesus; our life in His hands; one day; one step at a time:)!!
15 March – Please keep praying for my sweet girl. She’s had a rough couple of days. We finished our 3rd out of 6 plasma exchange today (We do this every other day. So only a few more!). These and all her other meds are very tiring for her. Unfortunately, they are saying we have to be in the hospital for about another week. Please join us in asking Jesus to have mercy and touch her. One touch is better than all the meds in the world! Just a word is enough! We are also praying for peace for her heart & mind. Thank you for walking with us on this journey. God bless you!!
11 March – Thank you for praying! Hannah has just started her 1st round of plasma exchange. I can’t tell you how much it means to have you walking with us on this journey!
Please join us in praying …
1. That Jesus will touch Hannah’s body and that her kidney would begin to function again. That she will be healthy & whole!
2. That our Father would cover us with His grace in this time, and that He would help us look to Jesus in the midst of this storm.
3. That God would guard our hearts and minds in this time with His perfect peace that passes all understanding.
4. That God would meet all our needs (financial and otherwise) according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.
5. That God will give the surgeons, doctors, and nurses supernatural wisdom & insight. (We know that Jesus traveled with “Dr.” Luke for three years — obviously He likes doctors!)
Thank you SO much for walking with us on this journey!!! You’re such a blessing!
God bless you!!
